The History of Oldfield Advisory

Oldfield Advisory started from humble beginnings in 1976, but our journey has been one of constant growth to the current day, now with a focus on providing forward-thinking cutting-edge tax solutions and advisory services to growing businesses.

Back when VAT was a new creation, our small team spent most of their time helping clients with their VAT returns and bookkeeping, then progressing into accounts preparation and assisting with audits.

But we wanted to do more. We had an eager passion for helping businesses succeed, which led on to us taking an active role in managing the finance departments of some larger growing clients. This meant that we got immersed in the finances of businesses in a wide range of industries, giving us extensive experience and invaluable insights into the business owners perspective, and the real issues, challenges and opportunities they were facing every day. This germ of realism remains engrained into our advice, right up to the present day.
